A small scratch turned into a surprisingly smooth fix

I ended here up needing Bumper Scuff repair after a tight parking mishap, but what followed was a fairly easy fix that left my car looking almost untouched.

It happened near Meadowhall Shopping Centre on a typical day out, where I misjudged a low barrier. The scratch looked worse up close, and I knew it needed some repair work sooner rather than later.

Later that evening, I started checking a few sites and came across AutoScratch. The process felt simple to follow, so I sent over a few quick pictures and got a helpful response within a short time. Booking was easy to confirm, and I appreciated how I could pick a convenient slot.

On the day, the technician arrived on time and began with a thorough clean of the area. Then came the light sanding, which made the scratch less visible already. A small amount of filler was applied where needed before moving to colour matching. Watching the shade comparison was interesting since they worked to ensure it looked consistent. The blending stage was handled with care, and finally everything was finished cleanly to bring back the shine. The whole process felt well structured, and there was no rush despite it being a at home service.

By the end, the area looked very well restored, and unless you knew where to look, it was hard to spot anything had been there. I liked the convenience of not travelling and how quickly it was all completed. That said, I do think this kind of service is best suited to minor damage rather than anything too deep. Still, for what I needed, it felt like a practical solution, and I drove away feeling relieved.
